Evilkid Productions gets retail-tastic at the Bust Craftacular.
Evilkid productions was a vendor this weekend at the heavily attended Bust Holiday Craftacular. Side by side with sisters in retail Molly Crabapple productions and Badbuttons.com, A.V. Phibes sold shirts, underwear, mugs, mousepads and jewelry to a host of attendees, including 90's songstress Lisa Loeb, who purchased a pair of Bad Ass Hotpants. The runaway hit of the show, however, was Sad Kitty (left), with all items on display selling out. Says Phibes, "To all the buyers who've said that Sad Kitty wouldn't sell because it was too depressing, I now say 'ha!'"

A.V. Phibes returns to the stage for a few stints and stunts.
A.V. Phibes has tentatively removed the "retired" prefix from her status as a sideshow performer. After pulling out a few of her old tricks while hosting the Save Lola benefit burlesque show (left), she has since appeared at the Jenny Vaudeville Show (which you can read all about here) and at the Pyramid Club with the new Pyrate Sisters All-Girl Sideshow, of which she is a founding member. The Pyrate Sisters-- which also features Molly Crabapple and Big City After Dark impresaria, the Lady Aye--will start doing regular monthly shows at Mo Pitkins in 2006, bringing New York audiences "the softer side of sideshow" with demonstrations of fire eating, glass eating, glass walking, human blockhead, escapism and bed of nails...with pretty dresses and daintily coiffed hair.
